You must mean without "sleep." Driving between NY and Miami will require several stops for gas - and maybe a bit of food. That would be a "rest."

The most I could drive in one day would be 10 -11 hours @ 70 M.P.H.

I can do about six hours. Never done more than four overnight, and usually after a full night of playing a club, when I'm just @ss tired.
My father used to drive us from NY to Florida for holidays. He said it was 23 hours. I dunno, I was young and I slept anyway.

Orlando to Chicago (Northwest corner) 17.5 hours. Longest trip
Rochester, NY to Chicago (Northwest corner) 8 hours. Fastest average.

In late October I drove from Orlando to Houston straight through....and in two weeks I will bw driving from Miami to Houston straight through.....as long as there is a working radio in the car I can go at least 20-24 hours.

Well... if I stay up full nights at LAN parties, sometimes getting no caffeine... I think I could handle some long driving :p But I'd need to stop at a gas station and relax my ass a bit, hehe :p

Drove from Detroit to Tampa in 18 hrs. when I was 18.

Now, even after 6 hours in the sun I'm still beige.

Sure! You ever see "Vanishing Point"?

Of course he had some "Help" that came out of a little bottle.

I drove from Oregon to Missouri in about 2 1/4 days back in Aug.

Longest I had to do was from Tuscaloosa, AL to Corpus Christi Tx in about 14 hours. Drive home from college. By about the third time I had to make that drive, I cut it down to 12 and a half hours. :)

Now, I'm lucky if I can drive for more than 6 hours straight. I just get too freacking sleepy at the wheel. Hell, I have fallen asleep at traffic lights on my way to work in the morning.

I dunno.. I'm usually that ass that falls asleep for a few miles. Drifts in and out of lanes, but is then jolted to conscoiusness by either a semi-truck tire or those bumps in the shoulder.

Current record is 16 hours. Left at 07:00 and got home at 23:00. That was driving from Campton, NH to Toledo OH, a little over 800 miles. Later versions of that same trip knocked 2 to 3 hours off the time (mainly by travelling in a car with a longer cruising range and with people who had larger bladders).

I'll drive up to 8 hours, but after that I just don't feel safe doing it, even if I feel like I'm fine. I've gone from Eugene, OR to Anacortez, WA (8 hrs)... it's a boring, straight drive up I-5 though, so that doesn't help!
