Mars has 24 hours just like Earth. It's just that Mars hours are a tad longer than Earth hours.Originally posted by: iluvtruenos
How many hours are in a Mars day? How long is an average Mars day? Is it about the same as ours?

A year on Mars (i.e. how long it takes for Mars to orbit around the sun) is 687 Earth days, versus Earth?s 365 days per year while a day on Mars is equivalent to 1.026 Earth days.
Not true. AFAICT, there is no reason that the rate of rotation of a planet (I.E. the time it takes to spin once on it's axis) should have any relation to the time it takes for the planet to revolve around Sol (our star) once.
In his post he never says that the year span has an affect on the day span. Are you on drugs?
You're right. I badly misread that.![]()
