I'm here about 10 hours a day and I work about 8 of those hours. Sometimes all ten.

probably 20 minutes out of a four hour shift.

Lately, a lot more than I'd like.

Damn high call volume.

Fortunately though it results in OT, which I have gotten precious little of this year.

I'm hoping I can get them to let me work 5x10 hour days a week until the call volume goes back down.

I could use 20 hours of OT per pay period.

I would say about 4 or 5 hours of really working. I just got my job so I am doing some self training before the real training starts. So I don't know if it really counts.

I just hope it keeps on going & going & going....

I wouldn't mind working more. But there is nothing to do.
I only work if the network breaks down and our network runs pretty good here.
And they never upgrade anything. So the growth factor is nothing.

I usually work 6-7 hours total, except for those days when the weather's bad and the job gets a bit tougher.

12 hour shifts at a hospital... most days you might as well call it a 3 hour shift. Heavy days we have 16 hour shift where I work for about 10 hours worth of time. Right now with the sniper around, we're on alert so it's like 6 hours of work on a 12 hour shift.

All of them, pretty much....if I'm not working, I have to either look busy, or stand there.

Grocery stores aren't the greatest places to work, but a Publix check is better than no check at all.
