With the 27 degree incline and 6 inches height my calculations say precisely 13.4 HP boost

Negative, since you are putting a spoiler on what I assume to be a front wheel drive car.

D00d, those don't add horsepower! They add downforce! When you are driving at 150+ MPH they help you stick to the ground man! Duh!

I saw one of those on a DODGE CARAVAN the other day.....along with a set of fake ram-air scoops pop-riveted to the hood. I've got to get a dig cam so I can share such joys with you all.

I think perhaps the idea might be to decrease 1/4mile time by using the generated downforce to lift the front end, thereby reducing rolling resistance in the front tires. Aside from that, I suppose that wing would make for an excellent handle if you decided to get out and push...

Oh, and if it were rear wheel drive the spoiler would add horsepower?
lol, well no, but it wouldn't be adding unneccessary weight on a rear wheel drive car. Well given the car...

Spoilers add downforce to the rear of the car to keep it from sliding out on hard cornering. This is necessary for both front and rear wheel drive cars.

I think those are the answer to decreasing mph's, since it will interfere with the aerodynamics and slow the car down. If everyone gets them we can increase our dependence on oil in the middle east and maybe get into a war with a dictator or two when they look at us funny. cool! :p
