Wondering how many Anandtech posters are able to get done whatever they do without using Windows at all.
If only Adobe did Linux versions....

I couldn't go without it, to many programs need windows to run. But I do have my laptop running linux while my main comp is in windows most the time.

I've done it before, and I could do it now. I got a copy of 2k3 and decided to install it. :)

I am on a win95 machine right now. It's my only link to the outside world from work. Mostly it's just suppose to be just used for running a 3270-type terminal emulator and e-mail, but my boss doesn't mind me surfing around on it. Besides that I don't use it for anything.

It's been a long long time since I had Windows installed at home. I lost all my installation media I got from school a long time ago. I went to go get win2003 for free, but it was a bit of a hassle and I forgot about it. My laptop had win2000 dual boot on it for a while, just because I got it with the thing. Got rid of it for the extra disk space. That sort of thing.

I wouldn't mind having a windows installation laying around, I am not that bigotted. But I probably wouldn't use it outside of fooling around on it.

Nope.
At work I need a Windows box for the firewall admin tools.
I also use it to play mp3's, so I tend to call it "the most expensive mp3 player in the world", though I guess since Jens of Sweden came out with their $1.000 gold plated player, I'll have to make that second most expensive ;)

I think it's been about 3 years since I've seriously used it at home. During that time I've occasionally used it in vmware or on an extra crap machine for kazaa, but I don't really need/want kazaa nowadays. Haven't had a windows install in who knows how long.

I still dual-boot with WinXP because I can't seem to get Battlefield 1942 running with Cedega. I'm hoping that changing to an nVidia card will fix that, and I can complete my assimilation into the Linux community.

Oh, and I'm mostly using Windows on my laptop because the Linux kernel in SuSE 9.1 doesn't support the power-saving features of my chipset. SuSE 9.2 is supposed to have this support built into the kernel, so once that's available on FTP I'll probably go back to Linux full-time on the laptop.

If I wasn't tied to Outlook / Exchange I'd probably move away from windows.

Oh, and there are still no Linux drivers for my Intel Wireless equipment. (Had it for about 4 years)

There's an Exchange connector for Ximian/Novell evolution, it's entirely free these days AFAIK.
No luck for me though, we're still stuck with Exchange 5.5, and the connector only supports 2000 and 2003 :(

At home I hardly ever touch it, I do have a Win2K install in VMWare but for 99% of the things I do Linux is better.

At work we still use Exchange 5.5 here too, so I use Outlook in VMWare. I also need it for the GUI firewall admin tools, luckily I can also ssh into the firewalls and use CLI tools if I want to. That and our stupid timesheet webpage only works in IE.
