The anti-death penalty thread made me think of this. Two of my grandparents were murdered. They were coin collectors and were making coin trades while on vacation. They met someone through a magazine ad and met with him. They were never seen again and their pickup was covered with blood. He stole their coins and their credit cards. He went on a shopping spree. Shortly later their credit cards were traced to a man in prison who was being charged to murder in another state. Under state laws he couldn't be questioned by out of state police - so no one could ask him about my grandparents (although their coins were found at his house). He committed suicide while in prison so none of our questions were ever answered.
So do you have any tragic stories.
