How many games will run under Win2000 ?

I know Unreal and UT will, pretty sure Q3A will too, but what other good games will work ?

can i run older games like Command and Conquer, and the newer Red Alert 2 under win2k? what about monkey island 4?

If you can manage to get Commandand Conquer or Red Alert to run in Win2k then your a better man than me. I have heard RA 2 runs fine in Win2k but I still have not purchased the game yet so I dont really know for sure if it will work.

Most games will run fine, the main ones that have problems are DOS games, although I have found you can run some of them suprisingly. All of the Command & Conquer games will run except Tiberan Dawn, but RA, Sun, RA2 etc will run fine. I do know that with C&C: RA I had to use Acompat.exe and make setup think it was in 98, but once done it ran fine.

Remeber most games WILL run, so you cant ask which games will... all of my 98/95 games run fine. Some might need you to use acompat.exe to get them to run by tricking them into thinking your running 98. Also check www.ntcompatible.com and it shows most games. I have found some games they say don't work in Win2K run fine after using acompat.exe to trick them.

I haven't had any problems with any games. People say the can't get EA Sprts game to work, I don't know why. I have no problems...

Well the original C&C:Tiberian Dawn wont run. RA I dunno it runs for me.... I just made Acompat tell it its running in 98.

Oh make sure you install the latest patch for the game, and make sure under services both RPC services are running... I dont know why but this fixes game problems for alot of people.
