consumer-grade soda tastes worse with ice cubes. However, fountain soda at restaurants and such tastes better with about a 3:2 soda/ice ratio, as the recipes used to mix the soda account for ice being added and melting, thinning out the ratio of syrup to soda water.
I don't drink that much soda anymore....I drink unsweetened iced tea all the time though...and man do I stack the ice.......plus I like using really big cups so, the ice will cool it way down.....no little 4oz-8oz cups for me thats like two drinks.....I'm a big water and iced tea drinker....I almost always have a cup within like 5 ft of me....
Basically I like my drinks almost as cold as is possible without freezing espicially most beers...
Nothing pisses me off more than warm beer at a bar.....I'll leave bars over this...
But, hey I'm paying extra by having it at a bar....they could at least serve it cold
Wine is a different story though... reds about 55-60 F.....whites I dunno refrigerator temperature or a little above....kinda depends for me on whites..
