I've done a little freelance web design, but I make a lot more doing freelance web copywriting. There are a lot of really great designers out there who work for really cheap.
I used to charge per project fee but now I strictly work by the hour. I found that when you charge per project, the client tends to abuse that and always wants inumerable revisions, additions, etc. Now, working by the hour, I don't care what they want to do because the more they want, the more I get paid.Originally posted by: LakAttack

I have a question for the other freelancers who post in this thread though - when you do a site, do you charge by the hour, or decide on a flat price for a site? I've been charging by the hour and estimating hours up front, but I don't think that is the way to go. . .
