Interesting! Um...

I have:
  • 3x120mm intake
  • 3x120mm exhaust
And, I'm thinking about adding a 4th intake.

The thing is, I was afraid I was being obsessive-compulsive, but you guys have proven otherwise...

Thanks! :)

Currently, 3, since I am running a passive (Xp-90c) 3200+ on my MSI K8N GM2-FID, in the Antec NSK2400

So, 2x120mm exhaust.
1x80mm PSU

Currently 7, but I really need more case fans.

1x120mm exhaust, 1x80mm intake, 1x120mm CPU fan, 2x80mm PSU fans, northbridge fan, and 7600gt fan. My system is loud :p

Lots of us are case modders and high-octane gamers, there's no such thing as overkill on a monster\show rig.

Not as much as you obviously do, and I know many others who feel the same way. As long as I don't have to pay for it there simply is no such thing as "overkill."

I'm running 3 computers right now (2.533Ghz P4 Northwood) (2.8 Ghz P4 Northwood) and (AMD K6-2 (newest addition from someone who didn't want it anymore)) Might get another slightly old one tomorrow :D

Dell (2.533 Ghz P4)

1 x 92mm exhaust

self built (2.8Ghz Northwood)

1 x 120mm intake
2 x 120mm exhaust (exhaust + Seasonic PSU)
1 x 60mm CPU

K6-2 (Currently refrabricating since it had some dead parts)

1x 80mm exhaust (PSU)
1x 120mm CPU (50mm fan had died was the reason it wasn't working, so we've strapped a 120mm fan to it :D)

when we are done with it it will have:

1 x 120mm intake
1 x 120mm exhaust
1 x 80mm PSU
1 x 50mm CPU (May omit this if I can find a slab of metal big enough to make a Socket 7 run passively with 120mm case fans. (It CANT be running that hot, the 40 CFM 120mm fan i have strapped to the current little heatsink makes it cold to the touch))

PSU has 120mm fan. Case has 120mm exhaust fan. One "quiet" 80mm fan blowing onto motherboard chipset and video card. Motherboard chipset is NF4 SLI but has a Zalman passive heatsink, video is currently 6600GT with passive Evercool heatpipe heatsink. the fan "assists" these passive units and is very quiet. CPU has Scythe Ninja. Loudest fan by far is the rear exhaust 120mm, which is an orange Yate Loon running at full 12v.

Those are nice fans :) I currently have one as an intake fan on my computer.. moves a lot of air and is silent!

As far as case fans, I have 2: 1 intake, 1 exhaust.

As for total fans..

1 intake (Scythe)
1 exhaust (Panaflo)
1 CPU (TT Big Typhoon)
1 PSU (stock OCZ fan with the $*&#!*& annoying LEDs removed)
1 GPU (VF900-Cu)

5 total.

CPU idles at 26c in winter, 29c in summer :D

2 x 120mm for front intake and rear exhaust
1 x GPU Fan
1 x Chipset fan
2 x 80mm for my Tagan PSU (Barek

1x 140mm intake
1x 120 mm intake
1x 80mm to point some of that 120mm intake at the RAM/MOSFETs (120 is mounted in place of some 5.25's, 80mm is at back of drive bays pointing at RAM)
1x chipset
1x 92mm on video card
1x 120mm CPU
1x 120mm PSU
1x 120mm exhaust

I selected five becuase that's how many case fans I have.

I've got
2x80mm front intakes
1x80mm side intake
2x80mm rear exhaust
2xPsu fans
1x92mm cpu fan
1x40mm northbridge fan
1xGPU fan

So that's 10 fans in total.
