How many email accounts do you own?

The only thing I love about gmail is grouping by email conversations. It's much easier to locate old emails and not have to go back and forth looking for a previous emails. However, instead of having to check multiple accounts, I was thinking of using one of my domains. Thoughts on keeping an online one and personal one. i know ppl do it, someone talk me out of it!

Why not just have all your accounts redirect to a gmail account?

I have 2 gmail accounts, and my university account.

I use one of the gmail accounts to sign up for things that could generate spam, and then my university account for everything else.

I never use my main gmail account.. it just serves as an account where I redirect others to. That way if I start to get too much spam, I can just remove the culprit, and make a new account.

I have 4.

One strictly buisness only on my own domain.
Gmail for personal / light buisness things (ordering and such)
One for user groups / forums (on my domain as well)
One spam / contests one @ yahoo

Domain, gmail, yahoo, hotmail

Working on getting rid of the hotmail. Yahoo is nothing but a spam catcher that i use to signup for something i know will just result in spam. Gmail is primary address

I have like 4 plus one for work, so 5. I forward all the 4 accounts to the gmail one, so I only check mail in one spot, I think this will solve your issue.

i lost a bunch of emails i accidently deleted. the running conversation shows the person i last email and i would axe the whole conversation not knowing the buried emails are the ones i need. i prefer having each listed individually. i think ill send my important stuff to my personal domain.

I have one for work only.

1 for financial and other sensitive accounts.
1 personal I've had for years -use for friends, online buying/identities
1 personal that I rarely use
1 spam magnet
1 throwaway I only use when i want the emails forwarded to my work account so i can see it on my Blackberry.
1 gmail account I rarely rarely use.

Work
Gmail (primary non-financial personal stuff)
Hotmail for spam/signups
Roadrunner (personal financial stuff - online bills, etc)...

As many as I want. I run my own email server that hosts 3 domains so whenever I want a new address I have it created in seconds.

I currently actively use 4 email addresses.

I just had my domain email forward to my gmail 😛

I have 1 domain email atm.

2 Gmail accounts that I actually use.

1 Hotmail account that I only keep because I've had it for so long that some old friends tend to send stuff to it at random.

1 Yahoo account that I keep for the same reason as the Hotmail.

1 Work account that's associated with my Black Berry and receives never ending amounts of email 🙁

1 primary gmail account
1 gmail account for things I don't care about
1 University account that forwards everything to my primary gmail account
1 Work email

I have four, but two of the others forward to Gmail, so I really only have two.

KT

regular gmail account
personal account on my own domain (hosted thru google)
online account (for purchases and subscriptions/signups) on my own domain (hosted thru google)
spam account on my own domain (hosted thru google)
work email for my company
work email for job/project

all emails to my personal addresses and my company account show up in my single main google inbox (tagged indicating where the came from). i can also send emails from that inbox using whatever account i want (ie work account for work emails). have an entirely different inbox to manage my online stuff. spam is never looked at.

oh i also have a gmail address with my full name, dont use it but do keep it alive. think thats it

Yahoo/AT&T as my main email (have 2 sub accounts as spam catchers).
Work is, well work.
Hotmail for spam/contests.
Domain has 20 emails and I can't say I've ever used one.

No gmail since I am more than happy with my yahoo account. It catches 99% of the spam sent (much, much better than hotmail which used to be my primary account back in '98 or something).
