How many dogs can you take down before being overwhelmed?

An infinite amount with a pistol and infinite rounds. Very easy to rapidly shoot accurately at short range with one (at least for me).
 
I think I could probably get the pile of dogs circling me so large - it would act as a wall and proclaim me the winner.

That being said, they have to be zombie dogs or something because I love dogs and would never do it.
 
Lol, can't wait to read about everyone arguing about this extremely hypothetical situation.

Also, to answer the question, I'd never get overwhelmed.

Corgis, lots and lots of Corgis.

All true herder-class and all nipping at your heels. Better protect your Achilles tondon or you'd fall down and they'd snorgle you to death.
 
With unlimited ammo, I figure maybe 100 or so. At that point the bodies would be piling too high, eventually fall on me, and I'd suffacate to death as all the dogs start climbing over trying to get to me.

Im going with eleventybillion Corgis before they finally bled me to death.
 
Nowhere in the OP does it say they are trying to attack me, so I wouldn't even try to kill them and live the rest of my life with 8 new friends.
 
Too many variables to answer.

Given sufficient time between waves and unlimited ammo you could hold out indefinitely.

How would they get to me with the 30 foot vertical wall of corpses that surrounds me because of the # I've killed? Then I would simply open the sewer manhole I had conveniently started shooting these zombie dogs over and escape to safety 😛

My Corgi is tough as hell. I'm pretty sure a couple dozen of them could take me out.
 
how long between waves of 8? how far away do they spawn? id go semi auto, hi cap mags. that way, the reload time is quick, and not every wave. gives you time to rest and reorient in between. regardless, you could only hold out until you get tired enough to get sloppy.

0. I couldn't hurt a dog, even if it was ripping my face off I would still be petting it saying "who's a good puppy?"
