Looking to book a couple of holidays next year, unsure on exactly where at the moment, but it?ll definitely be abroad.

Damn, dude, I was only in London for 6 months and I traveled to more places in Europe than you: All over England, Ireland (Dublin and Galway), Northern Ireland (belfast), Germany (all over the south & Munich), Amsterdam, Paris, Austria, Budapest, Prague, Rome, Florence.

Why not focus on Europe? It's SOOOOOO cheap to travel around Europe from the UK. My plane ticket from Gatwick to Dublin was 32 pounds. Paris costs next to nothing to fly to, or you can go by Eurorail, which is really, really nice.

How many "places" have I been. Hmmmmm. If you define "place" as any point that I had not physically been before, I would have to say its in the billions?

It?s something I?m going to start focusing on a lot more, travelling that is.

I want to try and get two or three little holidays in next year with the g/f, and visit different places in Europe, etc.

The farthest I've gone was in the states, went to Michigan to see a Nascar race a few years ago. I've also been to Quebec, there are mixed feelings about wether or not that's considered going out of the country. :p Been to Toronto/area and Ottawa a few times. Other then that, I don't travel too much. One thing I've love to do one day is go on a plane. Just the feeling of being so high up and having an awesome view of cities and other stuff would be awesome. But at $1k minimum for a round trip that would take 2 tanks of gas in a car, it's not gonna happen. Even with price of gas the car is always cheaper.

If you want an easy one, take your BMW (Douche!) (j/k :p) on a night ferry to Dublin and then drive across (2:30 hours) to Galway & then drive along the coast, either north or south, whichever your prefer. The roads are really fun/scary, especially when it gets hilly. Galway is magical & has really nice bed & breakfasts.
