I have a 8-key password for everything (can be every possible combination of keyboard stroke)

Usually ATM pins are 4 numbers, which sucks...
and for stupid stuff like my AIM accounts, the same word.

3 total.

I have about 10. I memorize them all so they arent written anywhere. One of them is a simple PW that I use for things that dont really matter, but each bank account or whatever has a generally unique password and I have 2 that I use for different things at work.

I do something like this:

My generic password is 12egh*l (watch where your fingers go when you type those characters) - I can type it in super quickly.

Then, for Anandtech, I simply add an A at the end. For ebay, I add an e at the end (or is it the beginning? Or is it the middle? Or is it just where it fits best so I can type it too fast for someone watching over my shoulder to read? I'm not tellin!)

That way all my passwords are different.

This is nearly the same method I use.
