With so many of GeForce cards out in the market, how many are they?

All I know is:

GeForce 256
GeForce 256 DDR
GeForce 2 MX
GeForce 2 GTS
GeForce 2 GTS Ultra

Do I missed anything else and what order are they in? Any problem with either one? I heard there is one model / version having problem with power current in its AGP bus. Currently in the market looking for upgrading my old TNT2 Ultra card.

Any info or suggestion are greatly appreciate. :)

I think the Geforce 256 DDR uses the most power of the Geforce range of cards.Don`t forget the Geforce2 MX DDR(64BIT version).

GeForce 256 SDR
GeForce 256 DDR
GeForce 256 DDR 64MB
GeForce 2 GTS
GeForce 2 GTS 64MB
GeForce 2 MX SDR
GeForce 2 MX DDR
GeForce 2 Ultra

There are also some variations of various models that use non-reference speed memory.

Thanks dszdog for the complete listing, but which one is better than the others? I heard GeForce 2 MX is the lower end of GeForce card, just like Celeron and Pentium III.

The Geforce 2 MX DDR hasn't been released yet, and there's a Geforce 2 Pro added to the list.

Just check the @bay for marketing research and found out same video card worth $10,000. I didn't know people are crazy about this item. Time to sell my old TNT2 Ultra card while it still hot. :)

BTW, for the complete listing of all nVidia product line.

If you look at the bidder rating the guy got suspended. My guess is the two top bidders just put really high numbers to try to win figuring it would never go that high. Either that or they were intentionally trying to mess with the auction.

I have not seen anything on the GeForce 2 Pro, do you have a link?

Wooster, the best depends on how much you want to spend.

TNT2 ~$40
GeForce 2 MX SDR ~$100
GeForce 256 DDR ~$180
GeForce 2 GTS ~$220
GeForce 2 GTS 64MB ~$290

I haven't seen a GeForce 2 Ultra for sale yet, they are supposedly going to be approximately $500.

I am not personally sure the difference in performance between the GeForce 2 MX and GeForce 256 DDR is worth the $80. I have a GeForce 256 DDR in my main system, but I bought it way before the GeForce 2 MX was released.

You will find better deals than the above in the FS/T forum here. Those are just some rough numbers.

To me the GeForce 2 MX is the biggest bang for your buck. The GeForce 2 GTS and GTS 64MB are for the hardcore gamer who wants to put down the extra cash. The Ultra will be for those that can spend money with out bothering to check their balance.

Found the benchmark amoung all nVidia cards.

nVidia Benchmarks

Since I never play UT over 800x600, with this result shows MX is biggest bang for your buck. You are right, dszd0g. Thanks for the head up.

Oh also, the current SDR GeForce 2 MX come in both 16MB and 32MB versions. IMO, definitely get the 32MB especially since there is only about $20 difference between the two. Some places have the 32MB version cheaper than other places sell the 16MB version for.
