U2 iPod 20GB (4G, not Photo, not Video)
My Motorola V635 plays MP3s, but the software sucks and I'd need a much bigger microSD card than the 16MB that came with it.

Had a Creative 5GB Zen Micro
Now I just use my Sony Ericsson k750i with a 2GB memory stick.
I usually bring along my little dot micro+ portable amp to drive my Etymotic ER-4S 😀

I use a 20GB Dell DJ all the time. But I have an old 15gb dell dj (broken lcd), a old cd-mp3 player (broken remote) and an old mini cd-mp3 player (something broken).

How much did that video player set you back?

Mine?

Yes.

And is the battery replaceable?

I got it from the Egg back when it was $335 shipped.

The battery isn't replaceable, which is probably my biggest gripe about it. However, you can send it in to Cowon for them to replace it for a fee if the battery dies. They say it's supposed to last 2 years, IIRC. If you're worried about batterylife, I got almost 8 hours playing XVID encoded TV shows, the widesreen "HD" stuff that you can usually download with Bittorrent.

Otherwise, I like almost everything about it, Cowon does a good job with constantly upgrading firmware with new features and such.

iRiver H340 - 40 gigs
iRiver i190t (not sure - 256 mb)

cell phone - samsung a930
pda - Toshiba e800

looking at the sansa e280~

Rio Karma 20gig(dying, as far as purely a Digital Audio Playe,r it is the best even now. Gapless= something nothing else has, incredible S/N ratio, excellent parametric eq, perfect for pure audio)

BenQ Something or other 256mb+512mb sd card(pretty decent qudio quality for a very basic player)

Generic Crap 128mb(horrible everything)

Zen Vision M 30gig(pretty nice, havent been able to play around with it too much yet)

1.

My previous Sandisk 1gb player wore out and now I just use it as a memory device. I have a Sandisk 2gb now (it is a POS but it was cheap) and I bought a BB warranty on it since I know my other one only lasted like 9 months.

dvd player from 2005, plays digital audio (not really portable)
several computers, two of which are hooked to speakers (1 is a laptop, so it's portable), all play digital audio
my car has a cd player, plays digital audio (kinda portable)
i've got an ipod, plays digital audio
phone plays digital audio. i suppose the old one does as well, but it's sitting in a drawer.

DAP usually refers portable stuff

i indicated what was portable.

512 MB Audiovox 5600 smartphone. Plays music and video, and really is the only device I can see myself "needing."

1GB iAudio I5

That's it. Ideally, it won't start messing up or anything at least until I can get something 8GB that runs Rockbox w/ a replaceable battery (line out being a plus, too).

8 GB Creative Zen MicroPhoto. Works great and has all the features I wanted/needed. Got it on sale too!
