Why is everyone seemed anxious to close their unused credit card? I can understand if they have weak willpower and fear to go into debt or those that just have exorbitant number like dozens or so. But if thats not the case, then why? If any it should help your credit score.

0 - Haven't had one in roughly 6 years. Forgot to pay one for a year and since then I've never gotten another. I've never had a need for one since my debit card is a Visa check card.
