How many connectors do I need for a big monitor?

I see this 28inch LCD "monitor" being sold dirt cheap on Tiger Direct. It lists a HDMI connection, not DVI and HDMI. I thought I read large resolutions like this, which is 1900x1200, needed two inputs (and 2 video cards). I would use this for gaming, such as fallout 3, Team Fortress2 and other similar titles. What is the deal with large monitors? Do I need 2 video cards and 2 inputs on it for gaming or no?

 
No you don't.
Just about any card today will support up to 2560x1600 resolution.

How they perform in 3D is a different story. 😉
