How many coasters have you made today?

I was burning a copy of SimCoaster for my barber (I'm not kidding) and Windows crashed on me. Thought I had a new coaster but sure enough when it recovered (win2k) the burner picked up where it left off and kept going.
Guess Burn-proof does really work.

i got a new 16x burner at work a couple months ago
put it into a win98 pc and it made coasters at 16x all the time, even at 8x it would make coasters half the time

put winXP onto it , upgraded the nero burning rom to the latest for XP and now its SOLID! no coasters, although it usually only burns at 12x, but i think thats due to the cpu speed (software calculating 12x as the max for the system config, i think)

Burnt an entire backup CD for my install programs and their supporting software. Burned a few things for other people. Zero coasters with WinXP and Nero 5.

I haven't burned any CD today. I haven't made much coaster lately either. Sometimes things just doesn't turn out the way I want it or there is a slight mistake in it and gets tossed into the trash, but I haven't had any coaster from "burning failure occured" in a long time. Thanks to BURN-Proof and only having to wait six minutes. When I had a 4x non buffer underrun protected writer that took good 20min to burn a CD, I often got tempted to surf the net only to create a coaster. I made so many coaster with my 4x writer.

I have an 8x, and I haven't been able to make a coaster yet while doing things and burning. I've been playing with photoshop and burning at the same time and no coaster. 🙂 Burning at the full 8x too.

Nope 🙂 That's the thing that is lacking about my system... it ain't SCSI.

I don't have a burner. 🙁 Actually, I haven't really observed a need for one. My friends all have burners so if I ever need something, I just take it to them. At this point, I don't think I'll ever buy one.
