when then you lie! You can't make 10,000 CD's in 34 days if you don't have a 16X CDR, thats not even including lead out/in and putting in new blanks

<< just did it on the calculator >>

You must be pretty stupid if you can't do the math correctly with a calculator

74min/12x=6.1667 X 10,000 CD's / 60 mins in an hour / 24 hours in a day

That's abour 42.8 days

since when does it take 5 mintues to burn a cd at 12X, you can't even fill a 74 min cd in 5 minutes let alone an 80 minute cd

1.8MB a sec * 5 minutes * 60 seconds in a minute = 540MB

3K to 5K. yes...do the math. I went thru (3) Sony 948S burners, (1) Yamaha 4416S, and now have the Plex 12x4x32 SCSI and 12/10/32A (Iomega). Have always done my OTF via my 32x or 40x Plex readers. As least burning at 4X, I had time to go do other stuff while I was burning. That's why I hate the Plexs.....too fast. :)

Remember the Maxell cd-r rebates back 2+ years ago? $20 per box of 10. Sold at BB for $20 or $15 per box of 10. Limit 3 per addy, but.....at least two separate promos. I had 16 friends and family that rebated them, and gave them to me as a gift out of appreciation for the burns and system backups I made for them.

I made 450 for my cousin's band alone.

And, I trade alot of music.

1x=74 minutes for a regular CD, right?
10x=7.4. At least, that around what mine is burning at.
12x=6.16 minutes, right?

My calculation exactly

His post is hard to read but I assume this is what it says
24 hours *60min =1440min
1440min/5min (for a CD to burn)=288cds
10,000/288=34.72222222222222222
