Are you aware that Ctrl+Tab allows you to cycle between tabs?

(at least it does in FF, IE and Opera)

I was not. But I also use it to move between open programs and IE, it's a lot simpler for me and my limited mental capacity.

I don't know... I just never got into the tab browsing thing...

Aroudn 100-300.
Currently much less because a crash made me lose all my 150 regular tabs, so down to 6.

I would say well beyond 200 on the work machine. Probably slightly less at the same time, because they're spread over opera and chrome, and opening both exhausts the puny 4GB of memory somebody thought wise to limit that machine to.

Only one unless I'm researching something. I will then open the most promising search results in multiple tabs until I find something good. Sometimes if I'm on a news binge I'll open tabs off of facebook shares, my rss feeds, forums etc, and read through them, closing them as I go.

I'm not even sure if you know what a tab is :hmm:

Luckily Firefox doesn't load every tab that was open the previous session, so I can have 30 tabs "open" while only having the 2 or 3 I need actually taking up resources.

And why have the others open? Because it makes it convenient to go back to where I left off on the other tabs when I need it.

You can also use ctrl+# to switch to a specific tab (e.g. ctrl+3 for the third tab).
