I'm amazed that you had the foresight to begin counting your bites. This behavior is most uncommon. What was your inspiration? Did you simply decide to count your bites, or was there a more significant reason? What is next for you? During your next meal, will you count both bites and chews? How have you come to the conclusion that if you cut the meat into smaller chunks you'll be able to enjoy it more? How will this reasoning affect future meals? I must know this.
 
Never bothered to count. If it's a good enough steak, I tend to try to savor it as long as I can. If it's a crappy steak, it gets choked down a little faster.
 
Wait, so you cut a piece off and then take bites from that piece? I cut off bite-sized pieces, myself. And definitely more than ten.

That commercial is still running! It's on Nick several times a day, that's what made me remember it 🙂

Just in case though...
 
Probably around 10-15. I have the tendency to divide even the largest of steaks into pieces that won't fit into my mouth and end up biting whatever I can manage off the end of my fork. I never could take the time to cut off a precisely mouth-sized piece. I like steak dammit I want it in ma bellah now!
 
I'm usually too busy savoring the flavor to count. 16oz ribeye :heart:

I'd guess that I cut it into 25 pieces or so.
