so your not the giagantic tool that created the stupid pole?

i have lots of recurring subs, but i dont care as long as:

$$$ end of month >> $$$ beginning of month

so far every month since age16 that has been true. 😀

if it werent for the stock market meltdown, i would have retired in 5yrs. arrrgg....

Everything on CC, manually pay CC from chequing account online every month.

The CC provides a buffer for any billing errors of service providers - none of them get direct access to my funds.

Just one. The mortgage payment that goes to the bank anyway, and the bank fees are reduced.

Otherwise I will not set up automatic payments from my bank accounts because I learned the hard way that the parties being paid are then in control. You can't end payments to them; they are the ones who have to ask the bank to stop making the payments. When confronted with this absurdity, I closed my accounts with that bank!

0 I don't trust them to stop if I cancel whatever service is using it. I either pay online manually, or bill it to a credit card and pay that. A credit card gives some protection, as it isn't your money they're taking. The details can be worked out later.

Every "regular" bill is paid for using my PenFed CC if they accept CC's as a form of payment (ex: cell phone, FiOS, etc...)
My student loans, AMEX CC, AB CC, and PenFed CC are auto-debited from my bank account monthly.

In other words, only 4 things.

auto loan only

Cell phone
DTV
DSL go through the credit card

Gym membership and health insurance are deducted from my paycheck because its both are supplied by my workplace

Almost everything.

Auto insurance
Mortgage
3/3 credit cards
Electricity & gas
3/3 business subscription accounts

Not on autopay:
Internet (don't trust them)

My biggest concern is giving my account numbers out, but I haven't had a problem yet since using it for many years.

Zero. Few bills, but I just don't like the idea of having money moved without my consent every single time. I won't even set-up a transfer to my savings account for this reason.

2 mortgages, cable, gas, electric, 1 hoa

parents still pay for cell phone, CC payments are done manually. water not set up for auto payment.

I like to enter the number into the screen so I can see the exact total of every bill. Makes it hard to to to hide an extra charge on me too.
