To change lightbulbs. With all this turnout,
OT will never suffer "burnout."

1 to post about a hot deal on light bulbs at Best Buy and/or CompUSA after 25000 mail in rebates and coupons.

5 to talk about getting bad bulbs at Best Buy or CompUSA and not getting a refund.

3 to post about not getting their rebate on the bulb.

1 to relate changing a lightbulb to Linux.

1 to actually change the lightbulb.

Lets not forget one (or maybe two, so they are rebundant) t oscream NEF at everyone's ideas of how t oproceed to install the bulb.

Another one to ask if the bulb can be "overclocked" so it will operate at a higher frequency than 50-60 hertz ;)

or we could just overclock a bulb from the kitchen to make it brighter and light up the entire house. :)

  • 123 to post links to lightbulb pics (BULB...SO...HOT!!!)

That's a nice pair of bulbs you've got there... :p (*ducks flying trout*)

How about this:

1 Jerboy, to take note of the wattage and lumens output of the previous burnt-out bulb, and to replace with new, energy-efficient fluorescent bulb, thus saving miniscule $ on parents' power bill. (Or UV bulb, if there are urine stains to be found in the area.)
you forgot that jerboy would then measure the output of said bulb, find out that its 1 lumen short, then complain about how shoddy lightbulbs are made these days

1 to suggest a 50hz system is better because although clocked lower, will produce more lumens per clock (aka the AMD side of the argument)

1 to retort that the 60hz system is better because it is clocked higher and produces less heat. (aka the Intel side of the argument)

1 to suggest just setting a pic of a lightbulb as the windows backround and turning the brightness of the monitor up.

Another to suggest using a screensaver with lighbulbs floating around so the lightbulb pic doesn't get burned into the screen.

Another to argue that he thinks the pic of the bulb isn't all that hot.

Another to call that person gay for not appreciating the bulbs beauty.

And finally....1 mod to lock the thread and leave us all in darkness bulb yet unchanged.
