No AT'ers that I know of, although I have met a lot of people from online offline (I probably should have asked if they used AT though)....I did a lot of the social stuff for a while and traveled to orlando, miami and tampa for meets...like cali and new york, there is a lot of opportunity for young adult socials. I also was in the habit of chatting online in AOL rooms when I was actively dating...either I'd be out in a club or online in a room....so when I travelled through a city I'd usually have some woman to have dinner with. These ladies were almost always identical to what I expected...a few were much better looking in person (you get the whole body language that is lost in still shots)...
Most were a lot different in person though, esp those that didn't chat and only posted in forums....typically the guys that would play the part of a gangster/criminal, or millionaire tycoon....then the women who bragged about turning down guys all day or getting offers to buy them cars/condos or claiming to be models/hieresses...etc. Many would repeatedly have 'something' come up at the last minute and never show. The forum only people would quickly paint themselves into a corner with contradictions. One of the amazing things was how certain people had multiple online personalities....I see it here too occasionally.
There were some totally spot-on their online persona, especially a few of the people that we all thought were just trying to be stupid.
I have been told I am nicer than my online stuff...and many had a very different opinion on how I'd be, but a 'little' arrogant still at times, which is improperly used...I just know a lot of things, I don't say I am better or whatever....I usually move to the dance floor though as if I sit and talk I will just keep knowing the answer I am not supposed to know.
Most of the time the women are far more social and all sort of flock together....there are cliques too, and you have a few 'creepy' guys banking on 'meetup = hookup'...then there are always the desperate people. Usually the guys try to over impress.
It's been fun to dance and drink / play with the people I got to talk to...you meet all sorts of people and I have made a few nice memories. I used to have a ton of pictures from each event, but I lost a ton of stuff when a jealous girlfriend wanted to delete my past.
The one bad part is you always end up hitting it off with someone and know you are going to be hours and hours away from each other once the weekend is over. I met one girl I dated for about 6 months before it became too hard on both of us (2.5 hour drive).
