I don't plan on leaving AT&T, but I hope they will have some new incentives and better rate plans to keep my business.

Yes.

For example, in my case, I need to sign up with T-Mobile before my Sprint contract expires and after November 24 to transfer my number. So, I have from 11/24 or so (I can sign up with TM before then) and 12/3 to transfer.

A lot of carriers are dropping bomb shell promotions right now to keep you guys where you're at. T-Mobile is offering unlimited nights on their family plans free of charge. For $69.99 you get 800 shared minutes, unlimited nights, weekends, mobile to mobile, free long distance and roaming on their network. Plus you get voicemail, caller id, three way calling, call forwarding, etc all free of charge.

Sprint lowered their night minutes from 9 pm to 7 am to try and retain customers.

The rest, I do not know. Nextel is kinda arrogant in thinking people are not wanting to drop them like a bad habit. They've shown nothing new as of today, 11/19/03. I guess they think they're good enough and that nobody is going to cancel -- I have a feeling they're dead wrong.

sticking with verizon. besides, id be too scared to jump. i hear rumors that a lot of companies are not prepared for the switch, and the massive traffic can cause network problems. ::cough:: cingular 2-3 years when every teenager wanted a nokia phone to "mod" ::cough::

Cingular to T-Mobile. I'm not particularly dissatisfied with Cingular, I just want a Sidekick ;)
