basic setup, except for the oc'ed e8400/gtx260. What do you guys recommend for a PSU as far as watts/amps/brand is concerned?

An EarthWatts 500 on the cheap or Corsair 550HX/520HX should suffice if you're looking for something a little nicer. I'd get a quality 500-ish, as anything else isn't worth the extra cash, unless you're planning on SLI down the road or there is a good AR deal.

As a first-order approximation:

65 W for the processor
Approx 130 W at load for the video card
50 W miscellaneous

Sum of these ~= 250 W

250 / 10 (*) = 25 A on the 12 V rail(s)

Given that you are overclocking, which will increase power draw, you would want to go a bit higher than this. Supplies with a 30 A or higher combined 12 V rating are not hard to find.

(*) Dividing by 10 rather than 12 adds a safety factor to partially hedge against capacitor aging and manufacturer honesty. Also it makes the math easier.
