In my younger days, probably around 40ish of assorted Light/Lite beers.

Run away Run away....... I'm on 32 for the night, but I figure I have least 2 more to go.

My forehead and temples are getting numb.

From my own experience:

A young man's body can tolerate an amazing amount of booze. 20-25 beers was an "average" night on the weekend when I was 17-19. Similar numbers for my friends. On one particular 4th of July during that time, starting at 8am and finishing at 5am, I was up to about 48 beers for the day. What's more troubling about this was my friend was over 50.

We don't even bother talking about how much we could drink and how much we currently can drink. Most people don't believe us; we have nothing to prove; we just nod our heads when they take pride in getting blasted off of a 12 pack.

These days, I enjoy getting a buzz off of a 6 pack of some delicious beer. My current favorite is Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Stout. I've also started brewing beer and we've made some delicious clones of some famous Imperial Stouts and Porters.

Yea' I'm 34 soon to be 35 any day so I have to think of cutting back. How do I become a member of the Knights Who Say Ni?

Somewhere In the 30s if the beer is shitty American stuff. The only reason to count is if you plan on driving later and want to be below some limit. I don't see the point of counting past a few 😛

That was college though, when I thought (incorrectly) that a high drinking tolerance was important.

Umm seriously.... In a 24 hour period, I think at one point I finished off a few cases, a few pitchers, some shots, and well just enough alcohol that was too much really for any one person to consume. I'm talking stomach pumping and charcoal swallowing too much. I really don't recommend it at all.

Probably on the order of a dozen. That's pretty rare, though, since usually I'm drinking beer that I bought, which means I don't want to blow it all in one sitting.

ya, but realistically, a 12 hour is more appropiate. in that case, for me, it's 12-15

exactly... if you actually maintain a 12 drink per hour rate, you're going to be dead long before 12 or 24 (hours, which would be 144-288 beers) is up...

hell, you could probably have some trouble with drinking water and getting water poisoning with such an intake rate
