I'm looking in CPUs and I wanna know how many 1.33 GHz Tbirds are accually AXIA or AYHJA steped? I want to OC this bad boy (or girl) and I want the best stepping. I'll pay the premium on them but what if I just blindly buy a 1.33....might it be AXIA or AYHJA?

I got one at Axiontech on Saturday, for $157 and it was the AYHJA stepping. They had about 6 left ( I got number 7). I'm using a coolermaster and it ain't coolin'!...temps for the CPU with no load average between 40-56C! I need a new CPU Fan heatsink combo...any ideas?

I bought 2 1.33s from Vikingcomputers.net for $137 each. They both are AHYJAs. They both can run at 1560, but they run hot. At 1.5, they will run at 60C under load 50~53C Idle with Vantec Generic HeatSinks. Just ordered a Thermosonic,Thermoright SK6, and CAK38. Will test on Thursday/Friday to find best Heat Sink.

First of all...most 1.4's are AYHJA...however some of newegg's 1.33's are AXIA K or some other AXIA steppings. But in most part i think that you'll most likely get AYHJA by now. Also, RAMZ you need to take that POS HSF off your 1.33 and get yourself a real HSF. I have a swiftech mc-462a...75 bucks i know but it's keeping my temps under 49 C full load...with OC'd @ 1600. But ya, Taisol's are good from what i hear in these forums. Alpha's (they don't fix on 8k7a's, or Glaciator. You're pick just take that HSF off.

BMWME...you could get lucky and try newegg.com...pay the cheaper price...and still end up with a AYHJA. Two of friends just ordered them...one got an AXIA K and the other a AYHJA. I just ordered a new one myself for a system i'm buildig for this one girl...will post what i got. But in most part...i think most of newegg's 1.33s are AYHJA...so why pay extra at other places. BTW: If you're thinking about OCing...remember that you need a quality PSU, very good cooling (swiftech heatsink and 6 case fans for me are doing it for me), and of course...what every OCer needs...some luck. Good luck to you all...hope to hear good results.
