How mad have you gotten over a video game?

i usually punch the coach or bed, depending on where I am. I like punching soft things, maybe even a pillow. And that's only say, after playing a level or a boss so many times that the frustration begins to irk me.

my brother used to make me go stand in a corner, then out of the room (Mario Bros 2)

Kid Icarus, G&G, Castlevania, freaking Ninja Gaiden....lawsuits pending...

oh yeah, Ninja Turtles with that one jackass jump in the sewer. only the second stage I think. god damn those Nintendo games were piss hard.

i use my pc and 360 on the same LCD...several recent halo matches have sent my fists slamming down on my desk...and my MX revolution and 360 controller about 6 inches in the air. one of these times i'll probably crack my desk... i have to be careful though, if i send a rampant knee into the bottom of my desk, i could launch my LCD right off of it.

ive thrown a controller before and cursed harshly at the game, thats about it...

this kid i grew up with used to throw all kinds of shit at the tv when he would be loosing...good thing CRTs are like a brick wall >.>

The NES controller was indestructable but the SNES controller was not as such. I remember having to take all 8 of those fucking screws out to reconnect the wireclip back to the controller.

I've never gotten violently mad at a video game. I get frustrated sometimes. Like tonight when I was playing CTF on Valhalla, and the bastards were sniping and lasing us like nobody's business. I was probably about as frustrated as they were the next round when I sat behind our base in a warthog and gunned down every damn one of those sons of bitches as they went for the flag. Suckers.

M Bison beat me for like the 30th time on the hardest star setting on SF2 on my SNES. I punched my controller SOOOOO hard and realized too late it was my turbo controller with lots of little sharp switches on it. I bled that day.

Another time I was playing some PS game with my brother. He "messed up" and I tackled him, grabbing his ear and I heard it pop.

A little after Halo (the first one) was released i went to a lan party at my school (one of the teachers held it after hours) and i had a massive old TV (36" and old as hell) which would occasionally just "green out". It did this on a REALLY close game and we lost because of it... I proceeded to "office space kick" it until the plastic case shattered off of it.

Back in my nintendo days I remember the first Mario. Boy did that game piss the shit out of me when you would finally get to the end only to die before king koopa. that damn song that would play when you died to....ahhhh

I don't know how many of you play gunbound, but i go apeshit if I lose. I punch wall, curse, throw mouse, you name it. My winning rate is 82%. I hate it when my teammate team killed you when your next turn is the winning shot.

Good thing English isn't your first language. I hope.

When I was younger, probably a thrown Snes controller or two. Now a days it's pretty much just a slap on the desk and a curse word. Most of the time the anger comes from my own realization that I messed up, rather than an outside source or "unfairness".

Few things were ever as annoying as fighting M. Bison. I hate him to this day.

Other games that pissed me off:

Kung Fu (NES) - those bastard minions would grab me and I could never shake em off.
TMNT (NES) - f*cking underwater bombs with those electric barriers that you had to diffuse.

I punched my brother in the stomach. I was 10 years old and he made me miss a jump when I was playing Turok (N64). I was pretty bad at it and it was one of the parts where there was a series of like 2 dozen jumps in a row. So I was doing it for like a half hour and I was on the 2nd to last one. He spoke as I was about to jump and I screwed the pooch.

I've gotten really pissed. Gone through most of the actions that follow. Back in the days of 1.6 (so two years ago 🙂) I would routinely pound the hell out of my keyboard if I got awped by a camper.

I think I may have said an unkind thing to my computer a few times, but that's about it. At some point I realized that games are there for entertainment, and that if they're making me mad, I'm probably just investing way too much emotion in it.
What ticks me off the most now is when SimCity4 randomly crashes out to the desktop. I'll click on a structure to check its stats, the hard drive starts going nuts, and bam, I'm back at the desktop. Good old Electronic Arts managed to ruin Maxis.

I think I know exactly what you're talking about. That made me so mad that they did that. I think I made that jump a few times.... It was very hard to land it just right. I wish I still wish I could find the idiot that designed that part of the game.

I get annoyed but I never actually hit anything. I purposely miss every time or if it's a controller, I'll toss it at something close and soft (but trying to avoid a bad bounce angle). I've slammed my hands on the desk before when playing WoW... I forget what annoyed me so much, but it was probably some sort of bug that was pissing me off.

Back when I was a kid I used to throw NES controllers all the time. Nowadays I just yell at the TV/monitor. My favorite phrases include:

Oh come on!
Ok seriously, what the FUCK?!
Oh fuck off you fucking fucker...
Well that was a god damn bunch of bullshit.

I live alone so no one ever hears me 😛 Unless my neighbors hear me through the walls...
