How low can price of RAM go???

All this very cheap rams are generic, and you all have to be careful as some of the systems doesn't really work with generic brands(athlon). But micron with generic pcb now is at about 70 dollars for a 128mb.

the ram from the Kingston (pc 100 cas2) deal either Buy.com or Outpost is a good way to start.

it runs 140mhz cas2 nicely (although some might be unlucky to get lower).

The Kingston ValueRam I got from Buy.com through their recent
deal of the day has Infineon chips on it! Does > 133Mhz no problem!

i wouldn't mind getting a gig for $100, we'll need it for Whistler when it's released in April!

Who would have though, MS just came out with Me

you guys should watch out for those cheaper ram sticks (like the one at jcshopper: crap) This stick has so many restrictions, and on top of that... it's not compatible with any bx boards.

I would buy soon, when christmas season rolls around prices will go up, don't wait too long to buy ram.

i don't think all other ram will drop once ddr comes out.
i actually think they'll level off when ddr comes out, just like edo ram did when sdram became standard.

I think having 256MB is quite enough for the year. I have already stopped buying more and wait for the next generation of motherboards that use DDR ram. They should start coming out at the end of this year.
