Hey all, have a home/web server that runs 24x7. I set up CrystalCPUID so I can lower the voltages and reconfigure the Cool-N-Quiet settings. Currently have it set up:

Idle: 4x200 = 800mhz, 0.875v
Middle: 7.5x200 = 1500mhz, 1.225v
Maximum: 11x200 = 2200mhz, 1.40v

Being a web server, running Win2K3 Server and Apache, usually sits at idle with a temp of 41c. Keep in mind this is a tower case with 4 hard drives and an Adaptec SATA Raid-5 controller all dumping heat into the case :)

How low do you think I can go on the voltages and still keep it stable?

@ 800mhz and .0875v is it Prime stable?

Stock HSF? Try and go for passive cooling with an XP-90 or something similar!

Another 12 hours of Prime95 passed at 2.2Ghz, 1.350v - Temp steady at 58c. Idle now set to 800mhz @ 0.850v :)

Prime just failed after 30 minutes - 2.2Ghz @ 1.300v, bumped to 1.325 and restarted Stress Test.

What are the idle temps with 1.325? or was that stated 3 post above at 41C?

The chip idles at 800mhz/0.850v, 40-41c. Did not try Idle at 2.2Ghz/1.325v. The server sits in my 1/2 finished basement (unfinished side) and does not benefit from A/C.

Latest update: Prime95 running fine since 10:15 stoppage. Currently running 2.2Ghz/1.350v.

On my wifes 3000+ Clawhammer (C0 Stepping Not CG) lappy I can lower the voltage to the lowest level available no probs at all @ 800mhz which is to help battery life. I believe it is .800 volts or something like that. I don't see what the big deal is??
