How low can I undervolt my XP 1800+ without compromising stability?

I'm trying to make my system as quiet as possible. I've done the 7v mod to all four of my 80mm case fans(in an SX1030B), and also did the fan mod to the 80mm power supply fan. I plan on getting an Alpha 8045 to replace my slightly noisy Cooler Master heat sink that come's standard with retail XP proc's. I was wonder just how low I can drop the voltage on the 1800+. It's at 1.65v right now which is already 1 volt under normal voltage rating. I have an EPox 8KHA+ which allows me to decrease voltage .25v at a time, is anyone running lower than 1.65v?.

Just note that you've lowered the volgate by 0.1V, not 1V. Your mobo steps down in steps of .025, not .25.

well... it's up to you to find out when you get it unstable because of to low voltage... it all depends from board to board.. and from cpu to cpu... just test your way on yo!

Thanks for the info. jman. I'm positive its runing at 1.65v, as thats what it states as my core voltage. I just wansn't reading the stepings right.

There's no definitive answer, as SkillZ noted it's a case by case bases
, just keep dropping and testing until you've established your setup's sweet spot.
