How loud is the Antec TruePower with fans on about half?

At 12V the 92mm fan is rated at 35.5 db and the 80mm at 34db. You can make assumptions from there. I read somewhere unofficial that the Truepower is about 22db average.

Thanks a lot! Since it's already almost as quiet as a Zalman powersupply I'll look at other noise makers in my system. 🙂

For kicks I replaced my true power fans with pabst 12ngl's. It's quieter. 22db is probably low-balling it.

Yeah, it is noticeably louder than my Panaflo L1a. I might try replacing some of it's fans with Panaflo's.

Any more info anyone? Bumpity-bumpity-crash!

ok, after my true power PSU bit the dust yesterday (with a voided warranty unfortunately), I grabbed the two fans and started experimenting (hey, they're cool looking). The intake (92mm) is noticeable @12v, and quiet @7v (though still a little louder than pabst). The 80mm is deafening @ 12v (though pushing a lot of air) and still loud @ 7v. It almost seems like it's louder at 7v than it was installed in the PSU (I'm guessing the antec controller undervolted lower than 7v). Regardless, there are big gains to be realized by using a different PSU or changing the fans.
