the fact that hes ignoring communications would negate any benefit of the doubt i would be willing to give him(depending on refs and prior communications). id still wait the "standard" 2 weeks before calling troll, just to be fair and cover your own butt.

did you get a phone #? call him up.
 
I would worry after 7 business days.

You should have never shipped before getting the money... I am sure you already know this.

Well, he claimed to have sent it 2 days before I shipped it, and I believed him. I had no heat feedback so I couldn't force him to pay first anyways. But then again, he didn't either...

yeah i know...but he didn't seem to be a troll, he'd been a member of hardforum for a long time, and he bought stuff from people before (concluded after looking through a search)..noone seemed to complain about him and noone even called him a troll.
 
Was the money sent via a money order?

If so, he should be able to provide a ID# on it.
Was the money sent via regular US mail? What, if any tracking was provided?
Did you have a phone number for the person?

If you do not have a tracking # for the money, then you may be out of luck if you were a scam victim.

From WA to CA, if he received the items, then you should have received the $$.

How did you ship the item? If, USPS, then you can file a fraud claim with them. Otherwise you are up a creek.

Try to contact some of the people that he dealt with and see if you can get anymore info than you already have on the person.

 
thanks, i'll do that, although i don't know if it'll solve anything. he's been ignoring me costantly on aim, e-mail, and PM.
 
I would assume you have his f'ing address, or else you couldn't have shipped.
Surely there's a way to find a phone #?
Or you could go round to his house and pop a cap in his ass.
 
It should take less than 6 days. You might be screwed (of course the lesson is to never ship the sold item first but you already know that now). You basically have not recourse except to wait and pray. How much was it? Just out of curiosity.

Ok, well it's been 8 days, excluding Sunday, and I still haven't received it. Should I report him to the trollhunters on hardforum? He claimed that he sent me an "overnight" money order, which is clearly bs.
