Unofficial recount complete-Bush carries Florida.

I'm not staying up tonight, I already lost a perfectly good night's sleep to this thing. I stayed up until two, & then Sarah called me at 5:20 AM. I talked with her until after 6, & then I had to get up at 7:55.

Tired, tired, tired...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

[EDIT]But I may hit 5K posts today![/EDIT]

Viper,

You and me both.:) I was late in to work today because I was up almost all night living history.

I think they are being a bit optimistic to believe they can get it done that quickly. That's a hell of a lot of votes for a re-count.

I got up at 2:30am yesterday, only to stay up till 1:00am last night. I'm waiting for my crash later today.

Viper, that sounds like a long-distance relationship?

I read today on MSNBC that this could go on until December 18th. Bush and Gore sent their lawyers to oversee the recount, and if either of them disagree with it, then they can ask for another recount. And then it might have to go before the Electoral College which meets December 18th, for a final decision.

I read between the lines watching the interview with President-elect Bush & VP-elect Cheny a minute ago.

They wouldn't have said anything unless they were sure they'll carry FL in an official recount. If there were a hint of bona fide fraud, they'd have kept quiet.

I was in DC in 96 & heard Gore speak from about 10 feet away, took me a full 10 minutes to realize that the "biological resources" he kept referring to was me/us. I came away from the speech convinced that Gore & John Tesh are in fact ALIENS. I esp. liked the way he imitated the head bobbing of a black woman for the crowd.

With 4 of the 67 precincts reportingg the new numbers,Chris Mathews on msnbc has reported a net 34 vote gain for Al Gore. How can that be? If there is not a problem with the tally, what does a net gain (or a net loss )mean?

This aint over yet!

What are the chances their lawyers get them to do the re-vote in Palm Beach?

``The numbers speak for themselves. There are 3,400 ballots for Buchanan in Palm Beach County. Bush won Florida by a vote of significantly less than 3,400,'' Wexler said. ``Everyone can reach their own conclusion. It certainly casts a doubt.''

This is gonna be fing stupid if our presidential election was decided by an illegal vote(by Florida law)

They still have to consider all those absentee ballots that are still coming in. Who knows, maybe people will realize Bush is no good and actually sent their votes in in Florida. :)
