How long will my rig last?

Hi guys this might be a little random,

But I am curious how long my rig will last with current to future games.

I possibly plan on doing a full build up of a new rig, but when do you guys feel it's suitable to do so? Voice your opinion and advice!

It's in the sig. I probably can reuse some stuff hopefully ...

Always and never, it's like you're asking us when is a good time to invest in stocks or something.

Personally, I never buy top of the line anymore. Assuming you're building a gaming machine, I tend to upgrade piecemeal and buy parts when new models get released and companies dump older models. i.e. I upgrade to one generation old as the newest generation hits the market.

I upgrade each of my PCs about every two years. Basically when you get a generation or two behind on components, new games don't play as well, and when money is readily available.

Agreed..Every two years...

I tend to use every thing until it won't work any more. But the best is to decide what your needs and usage is then upgrade from there. Only you can know what you will be doing with your machine.
