Just curious. I'd like to say my parents are unique nowadays. Next week they'll be celebrating 50 years. I'm pretty proud of them for sticking together and raising the 3 of us. Hasn't always been easy obviously but I think it's awesome. Now that they're retired, I'm not sure if I've seen them happier. Had lunch with my mom yesterday (pops was out golfing) and I told her I wanted to take them out to a nice dinner on their anniversary. My brother lives about 3 hours away and sister is out of state so we'll have a celebration when we can all get together again in the next few months.

Oh, wife and I will be 15 years in spring.

For my parents, it would have been 41 years this year, but dad passed away in January.

4 years for me and my wife.

Dad passed in 2012 at the 54th year of an amazing journey with my Mom, his bride and queen. That man worshipped the ground she walked on!

My starter marriage only lasted eight years. Reward for that time was a house & two kids, 7 & 5 years old.

I met and was blessed to be accepted by my queen and best friend 20 years ago. We blended our 3 kids into a family that took the fun in dysfunctional seriously. A definite shit show at times but neither one of us hasn't bailed out yet.

Our middle daughter had a kid at 16 with a POS drug addict (just like her father) that she eventually figured out she wasn’t able to raise on her own. That amazing human is 14 now and has lived with us since he was 4.

My parents haven't been married to each other since the late 80s. My mom has been married to my step-dad for 33 years though. I'm proud of her for not staying with an adulterer and getting divorced even when there was a social stigma against single moms.
My dad is on his fifth marriage, to someone younger than me (I was his youngest kid until they procreated). I'm not proud of him at all, he's a jackass.
I've been with my partner over a decade, we're planning our handfasting ceremony now.

Father passed shortly after their 49th. My mom was so looking forward to their 50th.

I'm on my second marriage and she hasn't managed to escape for 15 glorious years and counting. After the first marriage I learned the trick is to build a bathroom in the dungeon. They always say they have to pee really bad, but they don't really. Even the transporter learned that lesson.
