How long has it been since you last restarted your computer? i've only been up for 11 hours 21 minutes (restarted this morning.)

if you don't know how to check, run this from the dos prompt:
UPTIME.EXE

NOTE: by no means do you have to run this program to see your uptime!! the exe file above is just something i downloaded from another site, but really, don't run it if you don't want!

if you don't trust the program running of my server, just get it from this forum:

Hmm.. My laptop crashes every half hour or so... :Q

Too bad it can only handle Win98. May be time for Linux... But can I do wireless on my TP560X in Linux? 😕
 
five minutes ago. I'm playing with RAM timings and clock settings on my new 3.2c machine. 😀

I got it stable up to 3.616Ghz so far :beer: But the voltages are a bit too high for my weak heart. 🙁 So I'm trying to see what I can do with the vcore and DDR voltages backed off a notch.

3.616GHz?! wow!! thats amazing! bet that opens up your email program pretty fast ;-)
 
I don't waste electricity like that, it still costs money.

at the moment, my computer has been on for 54 minutes. minus the 8 minutes for december 6, my computer was only on for 46 minutes yesterday. =)

my computer has been on for extended periods of time before, but it boots up fast enough to not be an inconvenience.

btw, there is a DOS command that will show current uptime, I believe.

that command is SYSTEMINFO

it'll scroll through a lot of stuff, so just scroll up to the first few lines.

Damn straight! It's the fastest E-mail opening device I've ever owned. Hell, it's so fast I can open E-mail faster than I can read it!
 
I was having vid card driver issues and I rolled back a few updates... now its purring like a kitten. So I'm affraid to turn my machine off, but I dont' know how long its been on. My guess is 6-7 days.
 
I used to be able to keep mine on for weeks, then I installed that ez antivirus software (and since removed it) but my computer requires a daily reboot (web pages slow to load esp. with java windows).

yeah, i read about systeminfo,
it doens't work on my XP home machine though, its an unrecognized format. weird...
 
several days; i usually just hibernate...i don't like restarting since it takes about 10 minutes to start up ever since i installed the nforce drivers version 3.13
 
I can keep my p3 laptop running win2k up for weeks at a time, even months if I don't install some MS patch crap forcing a reboot. Best I ever went was 2.5 months. Keep in mind I use this machine daily, 6-8 hours for work, browsing, and watching videos.

 
couple hours, was acting up

I've had my windows 2000 server running for like 70 days before my brother put it in a sleep mode that it did not want to come out of
