How long should a Ring Door bell last?

Just curious what others think the life expectancy would be for this....

My Door Bell Pro is over 6 years old and has a red tint to the video image...Apparently this is a common issue. Many of the solutions out there said simply tapping the camera fixed it (temporarily for some though)...since it was pretty old, I didn't want any hassles so I just bought a refurb on amazon for $90 and it was just plug and play to replace it...the refurb fit perfectly in the existing bracket. Had to cancel the existing basic protect plan ($40 year to save your videos in the cloud and this sends a prorated refund for the unused months on the plan) and sign up for a new one (which has a free 30 day trial)...

Here is what the red tint on the video looks like:

If you end up getting a new one, I'd recommend Nest over Ring. I've had both and Nest is much better. I ended up returning like $900 worth of Ring stuff after having it for 2 weeks and got Nest stuff instead and am much happier with it.

The cold reality is that all cameras will eventually wear out if put out in the exterior.

I purchased a bunch of Axis cameras that were traffic enforcement cameras in their previous life. A few hae compromised performance with regards to focus or zoom. Others have issues with color. Others are just fine.

I believe the sensor ultimately can only take so much UV and other "elements of outdoor nature". Earth...usually doesn't provide environments of preservation.

Hey...I DID try to talk her out of covering herself in sex lube before doing her exotic pole dance...but would she listen?
