How long would you estimate 600 megs would take to transfer over a T1?

One thing to note: T1s are full duplex, meaning you could send 600MB at the same time without slowing it down much (there'll be ack packets and such)

600 megabytes = 600,000kilobytes
T1=1.54megabits/sec
1.54mb/sec=192.5kilobytes a sec

600,000 / 192.5 = 3116.83 seconds

3116.83 seconds = 51.94 minutes

This is assuming at full top speed with 0 overhead.

Depends more on the upload speed on the other end but if it is more than your T1 these other guys are right on!

Easier math:

600(MB)/1.544(Mb)*8(b/B)/60(sec/min)

No need to bring Ks into it. :)
