I can't understand how people can drive 140+ miles a day, every day to work. I go home once a week driving 60 miles from my university, and after i get home I feel so exhausted I don't feel like doing anything. I really can't imagine doing that every day.

You get used to it. No social life, no fun, no sleep. Just work, school, and driving. The first year is the worst.

7 minute drive to BART, 5 minute wait for train, 50 minute ride to SF, 5 minute walk/wait, 10 minute shuttle ride to medical center = 77 minutes one way, or 2 hours and 34 minutes a day, 5 days a week. i can't wait to start school in august.

usually takes me about 40 to 50 minutes to get TO work. (I start at 8:30am)
To get home, it takes a bit longer, usually 60 to 75 minutes. (I leave at 6:00pm)

169 miles, one way. I only go there once a week; I work at home the rest of the time.

I am so lucky to have this job. I should stop neffing and get back to it. :)

why would you ever go home once a week? i live 70 miles from "home" (1 hours parking lot to driveway) and i made it home for twice outside of holidays in a year.
