Note that nobody died. I'm just wondering, trying to psychoanalyze some other people. Heh.

Loss dead or loss he rejected your advances and doesn't want to talk to you ever again?

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying you are not allowed any new friends for a certain period? I mean, it is not like a SO where you should wait a respectable period before dating. I'm not sure what you mean by mourning in this scenario.

I have a friend is still mourning over someone he lost over 2 months ago. Depends from person to person, I would recommend that instead of psycho-analyzing, either support them or back off.

If you're friend passed away, there is no time limit. I've had not so close friends pass away, and after a few weeks I was alright.

If my best friend for the past 15 years died tomorrow, there's no telling how long my grief would overwhelm me. I wouldn't be suprised if I was still greatly affected by it for months.

7 seconds if you don't have a soul, 7 days if you're a pansy, 7 weeks if you're a woman.
