How long is it taking to get your tax refund?

I was just wondering what the typical lag time has been in receiving your tax refund checks (assuming you requested a check and not Direct Deposit).

I filed my kids taxes a few weeks ago and he's climbing the walls wondering where it is.

Filed mine about 10 days ago, and supposedly get my payment within 72 hours of the 20th.

Did mines a few weeks back. Already received my Federal, waiting on state.

My federal got deposited in about a week. Pretty quick, but I still have no clue when my state is going to come. (google California budget)

whatever you do don't check the irs.gov website. Its definitely not spelled out in the FAQs

File on Jan 30th, received the Federal direct deposit on Feb 6th, got the state on Feb 11th which I didn't get direct deposit on since it cost an extra $20

Before I did direct deposit, I ususally filed at the end of January and got the checks right around my birthday (yesterday). So, it was 2.5 weeks on average.

direct deposit was 3 days for state, 10 days for federal.

still waiting for my check for federal
