How long is fresh brewed tea good for?

JEDI

I received a box of teabags from Starbucks as a present.

i'm lazy and plan to make 1 gallon of tea at a time.

it'll take my about 3-4 days to drink it all.

will tea still taste good after 3 days???

I generally try to drink it within 24 hours or so. I'll usually dump what's left after that and make some fresh. It just starts to taste a little bit sour after that.

Edit: I do about the same thing, but I drink more tea than anything else so mine doesn't last that long.

For hot tea, or iced tea? Iced tea you can leave in the fridge for 3-4 days, and it only gets a little bit bitter. For hot tea you would have to re-heat the tea, and that can magnify the bitterness of it being a couple of days old.
But, it all comes down to the taste, it isn't unsafe to do it, but it does get more bitter over a couple of days.
