I've been here for about 6 years.

One of my first posts was about descramblers. I got a warning from a Mod about it and had my thread locked.

In my first year, I mostly posted in the FS/T forums where I sold and bought junk.

I also posted in the hardware and software forums as I was building my computer for the very first time. I probably averaged at most 6 posts per day.

In my second year I moved onto the Hot Deals forum. I didn't know how easy it was to save money sometimes until I actually tried a deal.

In my third and fourth years, I posted in OT more. I tried neffing a bit but never got into it.

Ever since then, I've been mostly a lurker.

I joined around the same time. I started as a heavy trader as a teenager. Now I just nef a lot in Off Topic, although I do keep up with current hardware.

been here 7-8? I was a mad poster the first 2-3 years. I think I was averaging 20-60 posts a day? I forget... now I just lurk, and go to the hot deals only...

I've been here forever, back when the board was UBB, and probably before that (I think there was some sort of threaded software before UBB, can't remember back that far). :D

[edit] I post a lot more than I did back then, but not nearly as much as some of you...

When they had the old forum before Fusetalk. I was more active on AGN back then though.

I first started posting here for video card information so I spent most of my time in that forum. Back then, I had no interest in OT. From there I started posting some in the software forum, in reference to games. Then I ventured over to Hot Deals and FS/FT at some point and finally developed thick enough skin to post primarily on OT. :)

Sounds familiar. :)

My constant computer upgrading stopped a few years ago. I stayed with my NFS-7 rev2.0 with Athlon XP2400+ for a few years before getting a C2D system.
I used to spend more time out of OT than in.

Now that I'm in college and generally bored with classes, I waste time in OT. :D

Before coming here, I was a member at Sysopt and Hardwarecentral.

i've been here since 2002. But i lost my school email address and I changed my computer so I lost the other account this way... I used to be in Hot Deal a lot. But then i realized that not visiting Hot Deal is the best deal you can find... Now here I am, only browsing off topic...

Haha, that's like me. I spent time in FS/T due to computer upgrading. Spent a lot of time in OT when I was in college.

pretty much since then i just sit in OT bewildered at how stupid certain people can be

also, hot deals wrecks my wallet, and it always has

Started back in late 2001, mostly in OT but read threads and make the occasional post in other forums. No change in my posting habits over the years.

Been around since hmm well I remember the original Geocities site. Used to post fairly regularly in general hardware and off topic, then politics and news showed up and all the trailer trash started coming here. Still i just held my nose and posted there as well. Then one day I dropped into pol&news and was thoroughly shocked at a completely unprovoked and uncalled for personal attack on another poster by a Mod!. I was accustomed to the mods behaving with decorum at all times and was greatly offended by what this mod had done. I felt that as a long time member and contributor to these boards it was my duty to take the miscreant mod to task for his bad behaviour and gave him a thorough e-lashing. Well as I soon found out being right here no longer has any meaning. Apparently The rules do not apply to the Mods any longer and this particular mod being the intolerant and mean spirited buffoon that he is saw fit to ban me for calling him out. That was maybe 3 years ago and I don't think I have posted more that 20 times since. At that time I was thoroughly disgusted with the trash that passed for mods at that time and the way they treated this like their own personal playground, Harassing and abusing anyone who dared to have a different viewpoint than theirs. Frankly this is not the same Anandtech forums that it once was.

I took a 2 year break once I got married and eventually came back.

I found this place by following a link from another forum to the FS/FT section.

I started out in tech support and general hardware and then found my way over to hot deals. Then I sorta disappeared for awhile and when I got a job with alot of down time I found my way over to off topic. Then I disappeared again and eventually got another job with lots of down time and here I am.

Lurked during the summer of 99, primarily in GH. Disappeared for 2 or 3 years in the middle.

I started 6 years ago, mostly talking about Linux and hardware. Now I don't really care about computers, I've lost all interest in Linux, and most of my posts are dedicated to making fun of people, stirring the pot, and just generally being an ass. It heavily mirrors my real life.

Being here only a couple years I haven't changed my posting habits much. Been neffing a bit less than usual due to a computer upgrade but that's it.
