How long has Law and Order been on TV?

I love that show. The real life ones are really good too, Crime and Punishment I think. The one dectective and DA have been on there F O R E V E R. Which brings up an interesting question. What's the longest running series ever?

I'm not sure, several years for sure. I love it too - but i only watch the original version, and SVU. I haven't cared for any of the other series...

I think its been around since about '89 or so. I'm pretty sure that in the earlier episodes there was no such thing as DNA testing.

Its been running since 1988.

Longest running tv show ever? Probably a soap opera.

Longest running Si-Fi tv show? Dr. Who

Longest running animated show? Simpsons (beating out The Flinstones)
