How long for an XBox emulator?

Seriously....how long do you think it will take for someone to come out with an emulator for the XBox? Not how long until a computer can run it smoothly(not that that should take too long), but considering the fact that the XBox is basically a PC...it can't be that difficult to emulate. I bet Randy Linden(coder of Bleem!) could do it in a day.

The actually coding might not take long, but it'll probably be at least a year or two until there's systems with enough muscle to run it.

the geforce chip in the xbox is more powerful than the current geforce 3 cards for PC's...perhaps when the next iteration of those cards comes out it will be more likely, but I wouldn't look for an Xbox emu for quite some time....certainly the hacks that made Bleem aren't skilled enough to do it...the PS and the Xbox are worlds apart..

Well, usually it takes awhile before current PCs can run it, but considering that there isn't a whole lot of emulating to be done, since its a P3 and a GF3, I'd think like an Athlon Xp2000 and a GeForce 4(lets say whatevers good in the spring) should be able to do the trick quite nicely.

I wouldn't say long, same hardware basically, whatever the Geforce 4 is it'll pass the vid up, processor was already passed in the dirt

i don't think there will be much trouble w/ emulation.. cause well, it's just a pc really w/ one kick ass subsystem. it's win2k based, and aren't they directx based?

Anyway, i think by middle next year, something will surface....

Why do you say that? Bleem was a great product, if only they hadn't dropped it in favor of the Dreamcast version. Which, by the way, is flawless.

yep....PS uses all propretory parts, XBox uses stuff that's already in a PC and thus doesn't really need to be emulated much....

About 6 months or so until you see a emu - about a year until you see a working emu that allows you to play x-box games as the systems does... That is if you start with a PIII/GF3 base...
