My boss said drinks from the cooler were on the house today, so I tried Red Bull for the first time. This was at maybe 8:30-9:00PM EST. It's 2:20 now, will it have worn off? I thought it was more of a quick buzz thing.

I feel alert, but I'm not sure if it's the Red Bull or the RTS game.

I tried that Monster Energy Drink the other day and I'll have to say that if that was all psychological then I need therapy.

I would say if Red Bull had any considerable effect on the average person, it would be labled as a drug and either banned, restricted, or taxed heavily

Ummmm....you DO realize it's banned in France, Malaysia and Denmark due to the caffeine levels, right?

(Strange, too, considering it only contaings 80mg of caffeine, when a regular cup of coffee can contain from 80mg to 180mg, depending - see linked article. Course, a double shot of espresso has 50mg of caffeine, so drinking a 5-shot carmel macchiato is getting you 125mg of caffeine. THAT article states that the average cup of coffee is 100mg of caffeine.)

If you don't drink caffeinated beveraged often, then the caffeine in red bull might keep you awake because you're not adapted to it. If you drink 5 cups of coffee a day, then who knows?
