How long does Partition Magic take to merge two partitions?

Also does it usually merge two partitions without encountering any problems?

if you have alot of data on the 2 partitions, it can take a while. you could back up one to dvd, delete its partition, and increase the size of the other one which would be faster

Forever if it locks up, so be sure to back up everything before you start!

Merging Partitions is PM's "weakest" feature . . . ALWAYS back up first

and it does take quite awhile - depending on the size of your drive['s partitions]

Agree with Apoppin completely. Back up first. I also prefer Acronis to PM - but, PM can do it. Speed depends on the amount of data involved, the speed of the processor, and file sizes.
